This wine possesses ripe and generous aromatics of passionfruit, guava, clementines and Makrut lime. A floral vein of freesia and talc, with the slightest hint of mint lending elegance and restraint.
Te Pa Description
te Pā winery is located on the Wairau Bar in Marlborough, which is New Zealand's earliest know settlement. Before the MacDonald family started te Pā in 2003 their family history has been deeply rooted in the Wairau Bar for over 800 years. The location has proved to be the ideal place to grow Sauvignon Blanc, nestled between the river to the south, and Cloudy Bay on the eastern boundary, these two bodies of water mediate the temperature and encourage air flow throughout the vineyards.

The 2023 The Reserve Collection Hillside Sauvignon Blanc is restrained aromatically, but it leads on the palate with white pineapple, passion fruit, crushed rocks and a hint of petrichor. It is elegant and layered and a pleasure to drink. Very good. It's piercingly intense but backs off before it hits a shrill note. Very good indeed.
