On the nose, aromas of ripe amarena cherries, fennel seed, and porcini mushroom are infused with the scents of Chianti's signature galestro soils. On the palate, the wine is sleek and elegant on entry, with a solid core of macerated black cherry fruit seasoned with dried Tuscan herbs.

Black cherry, blackberry, pomegranate, violet and iron aromas and flavors mingle with this red's vibrant acidity and hefty dose of ripe tannins. Fluid and supple until the finish, where a line of tannins leaves a light burr on the complex aftertaste. Shows great balance. Best from 2026 through 2040. 500 cases made, 150 cases imported.
